Abstract

For the purpose of elimination of secondary substances from the fibres, cotton material must be chemically pretreated, i.e. scoured and bolied. These treatments exert a significant influence on the obtaining of high quality final products, but they can also cause the possible appearance of faults in the further chemical treatment of material. In the paper various technological approaches to these treatments, being of interest for the industrial production of cotton articles, have been studied.
