The treatment of wastewater produced in a textile factory during dyeing of cotton with reactive dyes was performed using membrane filtration. The separation efficiency was determined using three membranes for nanofiltration (NF) and two membranes for reverse osmosis (RO). Ecological parameters (COD, pH value, conductivity and colouration in terms of SAC) were determined for wastewater samples before and after filtration. Treated wastewater (permeate) was reused in the dyeing process of cotton. The dyed fabric was evaluated with qualitative parameters (colours fastness to dry/wet rubbing, and washing at 60 °C) and by determining the pH value of the water extract. The research results show that the permeate can be reused in the dyeing process.Downloads
