Abstract

Prerequisites, efforts needed and results in introducing a new modular organisation of garment production processes are presented, together with the teamwork organisation in particular working modules. Conditions of applicability of such an organisation in particular working modules. Conditions of applicability of such an organisation are described, expected benefits estimated, the number of operatives per a production module team stated and the ways of monitoring and plying for the operatives productivity proposed. As the modular organisation and teamwork in modules are a new approach to the organisation of production, giving much greater importance to the human factor in the industrial organisation of work than before, the paper also presents some of the limitations of the CIM concept and describes the initial steps in introducing HIM concept in garment production.
